Deer in rut
Oil on canvas

Expressionist reflection of the primal.
The work was created during a period of solitude in the mountains, where silence opened space for introspection and creation of erotic themes. Deer in Rut is a metaphor for what remains preserved within us from times when we were still beasts—instincts that civilization covered but did not eradicate.
Expressionist language of colors and gestures creates tension between control and instinct. Rut as a state—not merely animal, but human. Desire that respects no rules. Wildness that waits beneath the surface.
Deer in Rut is not just a painting. It is a mirror.
