UNIVERSE
"Over the years, I gradually discovered the properties of oil and pigment, which, with increasing understanding, began to behave like the vacuum and particles in the universe. For twenty years I have been searching for a way to capture the deepest possible detail that offers depth in its finest form and allows me to create hyper-detailed galaxies. I have discovered a method that allows me to create effects that resemble supernova explosions in oil, and to achieve a depth that can be observed with a magnifying glass.

Oil as a negative
UNIVERSE oil works as a creative medium similar to a photographic negative. Just as a negative can create several original images from a single record, UNIVERSE oil allows the generation of new universes through photoreproductions on a ground aluminium plate encased in epoxy resin.

Step 1 - macro images
The first step is to take a high resolution macro image of the oil painting. This process allows fine detail and texture to be captured, creating a digital portfolio that serves as the basis for up to several dozen photo reproductions from a single oil.

Step 2 - Reproduction and resin
The photograph is reproduced on a brushed aluminium plate and then sealed with epoxy resin. High-quality UV printing ink combined with epoxy resin with high UV protection ensures UV resistance and prevents colour fading. As a result, the reproduction can also be exposed to direct sunlight, achieving the refraction effect of reflected sunlight.

UV printing on aluminium plate uses high quality inks that are cured by ultraviolet light. This process ensures that the colours remain vibrant and fade-resistant, and also allows you to print details with high precision.
The epoxy resin that coats the UV print creates a spectacular glossy surface that adds depth and enhances the colours of the reproduction.

The combination of UV ink, aluminium substrate and resin creates an internal refraction of light reflection under illumination.

Epoxy resin, creates an optical effect. Light passing through the resin is refracted and reflected. It adds depth and vibrancy to the image. The result is subtle reflections and shimmering effects.

The process of creation
The process of creating a reproduction in resin begins with an oil painting on canvas. The finished work is then carefully photographed and then printed onto an aluminium plate using UV printing. This printing ensures vibrant colors and resistance to light. The plate is then encased in a clear epoxy resin that adds depth and protects the surface. The entire process is completed with a final framing under glass, which adds depth and final protection to the piece.

Step 1
Oil
The painting process begins by mixing the oil to a precise viscosity to create a vacuum-like effect.

Step 2
Painting
Step 2 involves the process of painting in liquid oil, where colour pigments are mixed with linseed oil.

Step 3
Drying
The drying process for this technique takes several months, as linseed oil dries very slowly on canvas. The oil is of such a consistency that if the painting were turned upside down when finished, the paint would run off. This slow process allows the colours to settle deeply and create texture and depth to the painting.
Aluminium, resin
and glass
The combination of these three materials creates a highly durable and protected reproduction. Thanks to their interplay, the work is not only strong but also protected from damage in the long term.

High quality UV printing is applied to the aluminium plate to ensure bright and durable colours.
Step 4

Step 5
Epoxy resin
The 3-5 mm thick epoxy resin that covers the UV print on the aluminium plate creates unmistakable lighting effects. The combination of the UV film in the print and the UV protection in the resin provides double UV protection. As a result, the reproduction is protected even when exposed to direct sunlight without causing colour fading.

Step 6
Glass and frame
The glass, which protects the epoxy resin surface from scratches, also creates a visual effect that resembles a window into space. 3-5 mm of space between the glass and the surface enhances the effect of depth.
